There were some mistakes on MertenHouse design and price quote on the last post. Please see the correction that have been made below. Here also I have attached the samples of gown and hood (in pdf file), and cap sample picture that I’ve received from MerthenHouse. Please take a look and do leave a comment. I apologize for the wrong info I posted before.

Design Research

Moslanka has standardized for the grad gowns to be BLACK. The hood colour we can choose ourselves, but should be the same colour for all, except for students who will receive Red Diplom.
The colour options that we have now are MAROON, BLUE, WHITE-BLUE-RED.

Tailoring Outlets

We have 2 tailors for now :
1. M1 ( same source as our senior’s grad last year)
- the robes are to be bought and kept by us
2. MertensHouse[Link] ( a branch of Ede & Ravenscroft[Link] in St. Petersburg )
Ede & Ravenscroft is famous among Malaysian universities to rent their robes for the grad day
- there will no fee charged for delivery
- they will bring the robes and accessories to the venue
- the robes are to be rented with souvenirs that are able to keep
- robes can be rented for not more than 12 hours
- after the ceremony and photography session, robes and caps will be collected from us

- From a source from M1, there are 2 different prices for 2 different materials

• There Prices if we would want to buy the robes are :

1) 700 RUB
2) 1300 RUB

It’s said that the one that costs 1300RUB is with a better material and looks better.

The gown, hood and cap is made of polyster fabric. Here’s the sample picture of the cap.

** CORRECTION ON PRICE QUOTE

1. Gown rent + cap rent = 950 RUB
2. Bear = 550 RUB
3. Bear + badge = 600 RUB
4. Gown rent + cap rent + bear = 1500 RUB
5. Gown rent + cap rent + bear + badge = 1550 RUB

As for students who are receiving Red Diplom, there will be extra accessories – gold honour ribbon with gold tassel. The sample and price for these accesorries will only be ready after 13th March.

Looks like the price is not that cheap. And the design is not as how we want it. Please let me know what you guys think. We are still looking for other options. Anyone with any info and ideas are welcomed to help us.
